They are the Urology, General Surgery and Neurosurgery clinics.
A statement issued in Accra on Friday, said the suspension would “allow for work to be completed in some of our theatres and recovery wards at the Department of Surgery that are being rehabilitated and re-equipped to improve the quality of care.”
The statement, signed by the hospital’s Public Relations Officer, Mustafa Salifu, said emergency cases in the affected areas would, however, be attended to after prior arrangements are made in respect of such cases.
It advised that “Non-emergency or elective cases in urology, general surgery and neurosurgery should be referred to other hospitals within the metropolis”.
The statement expressed the hope that stakeholders would work together to speedily complete all outstanding works to enable for normal operations to resume.
