The Kaneshie Police on Saturday, received assorted items worth GH¢87,000, from the Virony Company Limited in Accra, to support ultra-modern office complex project.
The items include floor tiles, doors and water closets.
The General Manager of the company, Alyssa Lu, presenting the items, said the gesture was to assist the police to complete the project on schedule.
She commended the Ghana Police Service for protecting lives and property even at the peril of their lives and stressed the need to support the security agencies to discharge their mandate efficiently.
Ms. Lu said since the establishment of the company in the country in 2011, it had supported some communities as part of its social corporate responsibility.
The Kaneshie Divisional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ernest Owusu, said the donation would go a long way to support the police to fulfill its mission of maintaining law and order.
“Government alone cannot do it. We need other public spirited people to support us in our work,” he appealed.
ACP Owusu commended the company for the gesture and gave assurance that the items would be used for their intended purposes and urged other organisations and individuals to assist the police.
