Parents of a Winneba-based taxi driver who lost his car recently through an armed robbery attack around Kasoa, have commended the Kaneshie Police Command for arresting the culprits and recovering the vehicle.
The taxi driver, pointed the three suspected robbers out at an identification parade organised recently by the Kaneshie Police in Accra.
Barimah Owusu-Kwarteng, father of the victim, said the arrest of the robbers proved the police were up to their responsibilities.
He extended similar gratitude to the Kokrobite police who commenced investigations into the case, as well as a Ghana Broadcasting Corporation lawyer, “the Good Samaritan”, who transported the weak and injured driver to the nearest police check point on the night of the incident on the Kasoa-Nyanyano toll-booth link road.
Barimah Owusu-Kwarteng, a retired journalist, also extended a word of appreciation to the patriotic citizens who volunteered vital information to the Kaneshie Police which led to the arrest of the robbers, and advised all peace-loving Ghanaians to emulate it.
He appealed to police personnel to continue to render dedicated service towards the realisation of the country’s aims and aspirations.
Expressing his thanks, he said, “we became extremely happy on receiving the good news, that the stolen car has been found and the three men who willfully conceived and hatched this wicked and destructive plan, have also been apprehended by the police in Accra”.
