Journalist arrested

A journalist has been arrested by the Tesano Police for allegedly taking photos of a police officer who was taking a bribe.

Fred Sarpong, who works for the Daily Express newspaper, is alleged to have taken photograph of the police officer when he demanded GH¢5 from a bus driver.

He was behind bars, at the time of filing this report.

Narrating the incident to Joy News, a colleague, Raphael Apetorgbor, who was at the scene, said they witnessed the police officer, glaringly demanding the money.

He explained they decided to take pictures of the officer in their bid to get him on record and that infuriated the police officer who walked to Mr. Sarpong, assaulted him and later whisked him off to the Tesano Police Station.
