The two alleged killers of Mr. John Boakye (J.B) Dankwa-Adu, Abuakwa North Constituency New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament in the Eastern Region, were once again remanded in police custody by the Accra Central District Court yesterday.

Prosecutors said they had not completed their investigations, and asked for an extension of time,  which the court granted and adjourned the case to July 27, 2017.

Daniel Asiedu, also known as sexy Don Don, a mobile phone dealer, and Vincent Bosso, also known as Junior Agogo, also a mobile phone repairer, were arrested by the police in February 9, 2016, for allegedly murdering the legislator in his residence at Shiashie, in Accra.

Their trial had been going on at an Accra High Court for the past one year, but the Attorney- General and Minister of Justice about four weeks ago entered a Nolle Prosequi, leading to the discharge of the accused.

A senior state Attorney, Sefakor Batse, told the High Court presided by Mr. Justice Lawrence Ladzagla Mensah that per section 54 of the Criminal and other Offences Act, the AG had entered a Nolle Prosequi in the matter.

But, Daniel Asiedu and Vincent Bosso were re-arrested and fresh charges of murder and abetment of murder were preferred against them, respectively.
