Ivorian ex-first lady to appear in court again

Ms. Gbagbo was arrested together with her husband, former president Laurent Gbagbo, in April 2011. She is facing charges of threatening state security and appeared in court for the first time in December last year.

Eighty pro-Gbagbo confidants were also accused of involvement in the 2010-2011 post-election violence.

Ms. Gbagbo is expected to appear in court alongside other accused persons.

The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant against her for crimes against humanity committed during the post- election violence and asked Ivoire Coast to transfer her to the Hague.
