A delegation from Acts Sports & Events and a soccer talent hunt organisation from Italy on Friday paid a courtesy call on the Director of the National Sports College (NSC), Mr Erasmus Adorkor.
The visit by the team was to familiarize themselves with the activities, mandate and operations of the College, particularly the soccer academy and also discuss a probable collaboration with the College.
Director of the College, Mr Adorkor took the team through the operations of the College and also briefed them on the successes of the soccer academy.
He also presented to them plans and efforts put in place by management of the College for its future growth and development. He however mentioned that he has had people come to his office in the past with similar promises but nothing is heard of them afterwards and entreated them to go by their words.
Member of the delegation, Mr. Benni Alessandro, expressed his appreciation to the Director for his warm reception and commended management of the College for a good job done.
He further mentioned that his outfit and the College have a common goal of unearthing raw football talent and groom them into professionals.
He said his outfit will be glad to partner the College to achieve their goals and implement their policies.
The team took the opportunity to invite the College’s academy team to take part in a tournament for U-17 lads to be held in Cape Coast in September this year.
