The upcoming McDan International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Tour scheduled for April 29 to May 5 has received a major boost with Interplast Ghana coming on board to support the event.
Interplast, on Tuesday pledged to partner McDan to organise the competition that would help develop the sport in the country.
Managing Director of Interplast, Hayssam Fakhry said, “we are coming on board to support the young ones achieve their dreams and eventually win laurels for Ghana.”
Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of McDan Group, Dr Daniel McKorley has charged players of this year’s ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors, particularly the Ghanaians to utilise the platform to realize their dreams.
The tennis governing body, ITF has certified the McDan West African Tennis competitions after five years.
And to the McDan boss, the certification offers the players a unique opportunity to demonstrate brilliance.
The juvenile version (ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors) involving 18 countries from Europe, USA and Africa began on Tuesday at the Accra Stadium, and it is expected to end on Saturday.
From April 29 to May 5, the main McDan ITF World Tour Seniors would also begin at the Accra Sports Stadium.
