Visiting Inter Allies put up an impressive performance to split the vital points with Kumasi Asante Kotoko in their week nine Ghana premiership which ended 0-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium yesterday.
Contrary to expectations that Kotoko would bring back smiles on the faces of their fans after losing to Accra Hearts of Oak, the Red Army were given a stiff opposition as the visitors proved they were not pushovers.
In fact, Kotoko fans heaved a sigh of relief when substitute Uwandu Chekezie Alosie headed wide when he had only the keeper to beat in the fourth minute of the five minutes added-on time.
Kotoko’s midfield failed to click allowing Samuel Bekoe, Paul Abanga and Prince Baffoe, to dictate pace for the hosts who only came close to scoring in the 22nd and 37th minutes through Eric Donkor and Abass Mohammed respectively.
Coach Zdravko Logarusic, who prior to the match, promised a win, brought on Ashittey Ollenu and Emmanuel Gyamfi for Abeiku Ainooson and Awal Mohammnd to change the pattern of the game in the second half, but the visitors were just a delight to watch with playmaker, Samuel Bekoe, pumping heat into the game though he was replaced 10 minutes to end the duel.
Kotoko upped their game when it was apparent they were in danger of dropping valuable home points, but the visitors were determined to share the spoils.
