Some 10 Indomie and tea sellers from different parts of Accra, received various prizes for coming tops in a cooking competition organised in the capital city.
A Ghana News Agency (GNA) report said the competition organised by Indomie was to celebrate the food sellers and to motivate them to be enterprising with their business venture.
The 10 winners were among 30 finalists representing different suburbs of Accra, who took part in the competition.
The winners were part of a group of more than 200 tea and Indomie sellers, who took part in the workshop, during which they were taught new recipes and how to cook under hygienic conditions.
The contest saw the 30 finalists prepare a mandatory vegetarian dish and any other dish of their choice and was judged based on creativity, quality tasting, spicing, ingredients and garnishing of the dishes.
Ben Nsia-Asare, Zonal Sales Manager of Indomie, commended the food venders for their culinary skills and urged them to adopt customer friendly attitudes.
Each of the 10 winners went home with a certificate, gold medal, gas cooker as well as Indomie noodles and Minimie Chinchin products and souvenirs.
The other 20 contestants also received various prizes including products and souvenirs.
