Ghana Premier League Best Goalkeeper, Richard Ofori says he is good enough to be Black Stars first choice and ready to jump at the opportunity.
Ofori has been consistent between the sticks with quality displays for the newly-crowned champions, Wa All Stars.
He is part of the Black Stars but down the pecking order behind Razak Braimah and Adam Kwarasey but was hopeful the new award will boost his chances of rising.
“Competition in the team is very intense. It requires hard work and consistency. I think I did very well in the just ended season and I hope to sustain that performance to get to the top. Competition for places in a team is good so I will continue to work hard till I get to the top.”
Ofori was delighted with the second consecutive PLB award.
“It is a big achievement for me, winning the best goalkeeper award for the second time, this is a challenge, I have to keep on working hard,” he said.
“I am always ready, anytime I am given the chance to be in post for the Black Stars I will definitely do my best.
“I am really prepared for the starting role and I will prove myself when given the chance to be in post.”
