I’m not afraid of Bastie

Bastie-SamirBraimah Kamoko, also known as Bukom Banku, has declined ever “running away” from Bastie ‘The Beast Samir – but would face the fearsome boxer on March 6, next year.

Banku has come under several criticism recently for refusing to fight boxers he is not certain of defeating in order to maintain his unbeaten record.

Such boxers include the unbeaten Bastie who many have taunted to halt Banku should he come face-to-face with him.

But Banku, who would be a side attraction in the upcoming “Fist of Fury” night on Friday, said he never refused to fight Bastie except for financial details which were not concluded between him and organisers of the bout.

“I have apologised to the organisers and solved all outstanding issues and agreed to face Bastie on March 6 to give him a bitter lesson,” he stated.

He added that, “I am never afraid of any boxer as Bastie is a very weak boxer who I could defeat on any day.”

He stated further that the only issue that he had with the organisers was finance” but now all of that have been solved and I’m ready for that beast.”

The self-acclaimed champion of Africa said he is the best in the division and ready to face anyone who believes has what it takes to fight him.

Banku has added a new nickname “the ghost” to his numerous ones after causing a major scare recently by announcing that he is dead.

The news shocked boxing lovers and the public as many stormed his residence at Bukom, a suburb in Accra to sympathise with the bereaved family.

On the issue of faking his death, Banku said he only did that to know if he was truly loved by Ghanaians and would now give Ghanaians something to cheer about by defeating Bastie.
