ICAO Session Ends

ICAOThe 38th Session of the Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), has ended in Montreal, Canada, with a resolution for members to strictly enforce aviation regulations.

In addition, the session passed a resolution for the need for states to comply with the 2015 deadline for the migration to machine readable travel documents.

The session, which was attended by a delegation from Ghana led by the Transport Minister, Dzifa Attivor, also discussed various issues of concern to the aviation community bordering on aviation safety and security, developments in air navigation, consumer protection and economic regulations, as well as legal issues confronting civil aviation such as unlawful interference in international civil aviation.

Other members of Ghana’s delegation include representatives from the Ministry, Parliament, the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, Ghana Airports Company and Ghana Immigration Service.
