Hollard Insurance compensates Kotoko’s Obeng Asare

Officials of Hollard presenting the cheque to KotokoHollard Insurance Ghana Limited have paid a compensation of GH¢30,000.00 to the family of the late Thomas Obeng Asare, the Deputy Equipment’s Officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko who died on July 12, 2017 as a result of an accident involving the team’s bus.
It was in fulfilment of an earlier promise assuring the playing body and the management team of Kotoko of the company’s commitment to compensate the team with the Group Personal Accident Insurance Policy.
Presenting the cheque, Mr. Gustav Bruce, Business Development Manager of Hollard Insurance indicated that, the relationship between Hollard and the Porcupine Warriors has been consolidated.
He said though an occurrence of this nature is undesirable, the preparations put in place for such eventualities has come in handy as compensation for the team.
Mr. Yaw Boafo, the Head of Legal of Kumasi Asante Kotoko who received the cheque on behalf of the team thanked Hollard for the prompt action taken and pledged to continue to work with the company.
