The Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Francis Ganyaglo, has cut the sod for the construction of a Business and Management studies faculty for the Ho Polytechnic.
The two-storey facility with offices and lecture rooms is expected to provide adequate space for the business students.
Mr. Francis Ganyaglo noted that the government remained committed to supporting developments that would address the congestion of polytechnics.
He explained that although the construction of the facility may have delayed “we are well on the way of fulfilling our promise”.
Prof. Emmanuel Sakyi, Rector of the polytechnic, for his part, noted that a business faculty was relevant for the polytechnic since it will play a critical role after the polytechnic becomes a technical university.
He commended the government for considering the construction of the facility as a priority, and called for more structures to enhance the operations of the polytechnic.
