Hearts unveils new coach

Head Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Frank Nutall Elliott is desisting from making promises as he assumes the mantle as head coach and is tasked to move the club back to its glory days.

“Hearts is a great traditional club with a great history. Over the few years, their performance has declined but I have a passion to succeed everywhere I go. I am here to succeed and that is what provides the motivation.”

Speaking at his unveiling ceremony last Friday at the club secretariat, the Scottish trainer noted that he was aware of the passion of the fans and would try to meet their expectation.

But that, he said, would be possible when the supporters throng the stadium to support the team even in difficult times.

“I would work very hard to appease the management and fans, and they in return should give the team the necessary support to help us achieve the success we all crave for.”

“I have inherited a group of young hardworking and talented players who are ready to sacrifice for the team to succeed and I’m ready to work with them and impact onto them what I have in me to succeed.”

He said he drew a lot of positives from the opening game against Inter Allies and would hope to build on that performance to achieve success but was quick to add that some parts of the team need improvement.

He praised Assistant Coach, Henry Wellington for holding the forth, noting that he would gladly work with him and get to understand a lot about the team.
