Hearts plead for patience from fans

CORPORATE Affairs Manager of Accra Hearts of Oak, Joe Addo has called for patience from the club’s fans following the clubs inconsistent run in the ongoing First Capital Plus Premier League.

Hearts have endured a difficult spell under the tutelage of experienced Coach Herbert Addo with fans calling for his exit from the club.

Though the Phobians are battling just above the relation zone in the domestic league former Ghana Hearts of Oak defender who currently doubles as the corporate affairs Manager of the club, Joe Addo believes Herbert Addo is the best man for the job

“The supporters should try and support the team, they should criticize constructively calling for peoples head to roll won’t help, every Kotoko fan wanted the head of Didi now he is left and now see what they are going through”.

The Phobians who have performed poorly in the domestic league will take a respite in their continental performance after they kicked out AS Police of Benin in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Meanwhile, the Senegalese Football Federation has offered 1.5 million CFA francs to the Olympic Ngor ahead of the 1/16 CAF Confederations Cup clash with Accra Hearts of Oak.

This gesture comes from the president of the Senegalese Football Federation Mr Augustin Senghor believes that Senegalese clubs in the CAF inter-club competitions need to be boosted financially to progress in the competitions. By taking this initiative, the boss of the Senegalese football decided to offer 1.5 CFA in Ngor to reimburse their purse.

Olympique de Ngor travel to face Ghana’s Hearts of Oak in the Confederation Cup on Sunday while AS Pikine compete in the Champions League.

Both teams have been given 1.5million CFA Francs (around $2,455) to aid their preparations as they travel for the 1/16th round of games in their respective competitions this weekend.

“In view of their participation in away matches for the 1/16th round of the 2015 Caf club competitions (Champions League and the Confederation Cup), the Senegalese Football Federation has decided to provide further financial support two (2) representatives of Senegal in these competitions.

“Thus, AS Pikine and Olympique de Ngor will each receive a budget of one million five hundred thousand (1,500,000) CFA francs,” reads a statement by the Senegalese federation.

Earlier in the preliminaries of the CAF confederations cup, The Senegalese Football Federation donated three million CFA francs to the Olympic Ngor prelude of the Cup of the African Football Confederation (CAF) which it obtained the qualification on Saturday after beating Unisport Douala ( 3-1)

Ngor are expected to arrive in Ghana tomorrow ahead of the first leg match with Hearts of Oak set for Sunday afternoon.
