Hearts Oldies Manage A Draw With Kotoko

Hearts And kotokoA late free-kick, masterfully executed on the stroke of Afull time by Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s veteran, Stephen Owusu, denied retired players of Accra Hearts of Oak victory in their oldies clash at the Accra Sports Stadium yesterday as they settled for a 2-2 drawn encounter.

Owusu’s strike handed the Reds a deserved result having been in the centre of the exchanges in the second half after falling behind to goals from Thomas Otinkorang and Ishmael Addo in the 35th and 50th minutes respectively.

With the two goals in their basket and still probing for more as Awuley Quaye jnr , and Mohammed Polo dazzled the fans with their passes, it was clear the old Phobians were coasting to a sweet revenge over their arch rivals until Oli Rahman struck
from close range to beat James Nanor to pull one back for the old Porcupines.

Owusu then delivered a curling grounder from a freekick that zoomed straight into the net to maintain the upper hand against
their rivals. – Andrew Nortey
