Harness Positive Talents In Children

KASOA PIXMr. Jacob H. Attafuah Director, Evergreen Montessori Preparatory International School, Kasoa in the Central Region has stressed the need for parents to identify and harness positive talents of their children and to help them develop.

He said, most parents tend to ignore little positive talents their wards have, and rather direct them towards much difficult ones which go against the child in future.

Mr. Attafuah, was speaking at the school’s Open Day celebrations held here at the weekend. The Day among other things was to enable parents, pupils and teachers of the school to interact and also to thank God for seeing them through another academic year.

He said, Evergreen Montessori Preparatory International School focused on harnessing and developing the talents each child was endowed with.

Mr. Attafuah said the school organised entertainment activities such as drumming, trumpeting, guitar playing among others to unearth the talents of the pupils.

He said that plans were far advanced to have an exchange programme with the sister school in London to broaden the horizon of the pupils.
Mr. Attafuah was grateful to parents for entrusting the education of their wards to them since the school was established in 2012, and promised not to let them down.

New musical equipment to be used by the school was unveiled and shown to parents, after which certificates and parcels were given to all pupils for their excellence in academic work.  -  Bismark A. Boateng
