The Ghana Handball Association(GHA) yesterday presented equipment to the Osu Presbyterian cluster of schools.
The equipment received by the Circuit Supervisor of Osu-Doku, Miss Georgina W. Raddles includes five handballs and two whistles.
The presentation, according to Nortey Dowuona, vice chairman of the GHA, was to serve as a boost to the sports activities of the schools.
He said it was in response to requests made to the handball association by the sports departments of the schools and pledged to work with other sports federations to partner them in the development of sports.
Miss Raddles expressed gratitude to the GHA and expressed the confidence that other sports federations would come to their aid as they hope to make sports a permanent feature in their calendar.
Present at the short ceremony were Oscar Charles Acquah, head of heads for Osu Schools, Samuel Okai, Sports Co-ordinator for Osu-Doku, Mr. Kwadwo Kwarteng, Senior Staff Association chairman of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Henry Nortey, GHA member and Erasmus Odartey Xerton, Assembly Member for the area.
