Gyan Now Unibank Icon

Asamoah gyan UniBank Ghana Limited, the official bank of the Black Stars, has struck a two-year deal with Black Stars’ captain, Asamoah Gyan, as its brand icon.

Gyan, who led the Black Stars to their third successive World Cup qualification, would for the next two years, promote the products and services of the bank.

The lethal striker, as per the terms of the deal, would appear on both print and electronic advertising media of the bank, as well as endorse the uniBank brand in and outside the country.

The bank would also make annual financial commitments to the player as part of the deal.

UniBank’s recent association with the player has further strengthened their relationship with the Ghana Football Association (GFA), after entering into a 1.2 million dollar sponsorship deal with the football controlling body late last year.

The bank last year also entered into a one year sponsorship deal with coach James Akwesi Appiah as its brand icon, after closing the sponsorship deal with the Black Stars.

The bank is expected to play a major role in the campaign of the Black Stars at the 2014 Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) World Cup in Brazil.

The subject of the causes of heart failure has become topical in Ghana following the sudden demise of global television icon Komla Dumor last Saturday.

The BBC World presenter died suddenly at his home in London from a suspected heart attack in an unfortunate incident which has shocked Ghana, Africa and the world.

Sport Doctor, Prince Pamboe, has described sex a physical activity which enables the heart to work at its uttermost best by pumping more blood.

“Good sex is more than 100% better for the heart. Sports men should engage in healthy sex to enhance their health conditions,” he told Happy FM

“It’s one of the key ways to deal with such unfortunate things like cardiac arrest. It may not be the only answer but surely one of the ways.”
