Ghanaian female athlete Beatrice Gyaman who is part of the much talked about 4 x 100 relay team for the Rio 2016 Olympics believes she and her teammates are capable of pulling off a memorable performance at the games.
The 29 year old believes the hard work put in will pay off for them.
Gyaman who specialises in the 100m and 200m events of track and field says she is eagerly waiting for the games to commence.
“Making a mark at our first Olympics is very important for us and we will need the support of the entire nation to pull this off. The 4×100 relay race is a long time from now and as a result we will have time to develop chemistry and also get into our rhythm so hopefully we should do well.”
“It is hard to promise Ghanaians medals but I can say that we will give our best,”she told Citi Sports on the sidelines of a cocktail organised in their honour. Gyaman currently holds a personal best of 11.80 secs in 100m while she clocks 24.15 secs for 200m.
