Gunter Frey School holds graduation

The pupils displaying their certificatesThe Gunter Frey International School has held its graduation ceremony at Tubal in the Ga South Municipality in the Greater Accra Region.

Thirty-nine pupils graduated from Kindergarten to Primary One, while 56 pupils also graduated from class six to Junior High School at the event on Thursday. They were presented with certificates

Addressing the gathering, Mamadu Mudasiru, Director of the school, said from a beginning of 12 pupils,  the school now has a  population of 512 pupils, and expressed appreciation to the parents and teachers for the contribution towards the growth of the school.

Mr. Mudasiru said the vision of the school was to become a model school in the community, offering the pupils quality education to prepare them for nation building.

He said management of the school has decided to keep school fees low to meet the financial capacity of parents, and make education affordable to the  poor, while not compromising on the quality of teaching and learning.

In terms of facility, Mr. Mudasiru said the school could boast of a computer centre,  adding that a modern library and science laboratory facilities were under construction.

She commended Mr. and Mrs. Gunter Frey, a German couple who have been supporting the school to improve infrastructure as well as with teaching and learning materials.

 

The pupils entertained the gathering with poetry recitation, choreography and cadet artistry.
