GTUC Undergoes Rebranding

IMG_1007The Ghana Telecom University College has changed its name to “Ghana Technology University College (GTUC).”

The change is part of a rebranding exercise embarked on by the College towards promoting educational excellence in the sub-region.

“Our rebranded name and logo is to help in promoting our core values of effectively and efficiently serving with knowledge and skills in technology required for the development of Africa,” Dr. Osei Kwasi Darkwa, President of GTUC said.

Launching the new brand in Accra, Dr. Darkwa said the rebranding was to reflect the enviable identity of GTUC as a centre of excellence for technology education in West Africa.

He said GTUC, which is affiliated to reputable local and international universities, remained committed to research, intellectual creativity and innovation.

The new brand is embodied in a new logo and five core values covering excellence, student-centredness, academic freedom, innovation and integrity.

Dr. Darkwa expressed the commitment of the College to do more to sustain and improve on the standards it has set in the field of technology education, adding that the college would not relent on its efforts to contribute meaningfully to the development of Ghana and Africa.

He noted that “apart from provision of trained human resources to support industry and business GTUC is currently embarking on a number of research endeavour, which we believe will translate into practical experiences for growth and development.”

He was optimistic that the College would become a sub-regional educational institution specialising in providing technology education to address the challenges confronting the country and the sub region.
