GTUC T’di Campus Admits Pioneer Students

GTUC (2)The president of the Ghana Technology University College (GTUC), Dr. Osei Darkwa, has appealed to the government, corporate bodies and philanthropists, to assist it to deliver its pending projects.

“The increasing demand for GTUC programmes and courses, calls for investment and aid with regards to infrastructure, and innovation in terms of programmes and projects,” he stated.

Dr. Darkwa made the appeal at the maiden matriculation of the Takoradi campus of the University College, in the Western Region, at which 72 fresh men and women, were admitted to pursue various programmes.

He observed that the opening of the Takoradi Campus was to increase the University’s regional presence, and also to meet the demand for quality higher education for the citizenry, as well as the demand for professionals in the oil and gas industry.

Dr. Darkwa asked the students to take up the stewardship and the challenge of a rich legacy of excellence the University provides to enable them achieve their aspirations.

He said “after seven years of accreditation, the University has moved from a modest, humble and challenging beginning, now well positioned as a college of quality and distinction, offering professional development programmes and quality tertiary education”.

According to him, “GTUC is a place where all hidden talents are discovered and fine tuned, to make people impact positively, on the entire world”.   From Peter Gbambila, Takoradi
