GTUC graduates 123 students

A section of the graduands at the eventThe Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) has held its 14th Congregation in Accra at which 123 students graduated from the school.

The event had the theme, “The role of GTUC in the utilisation of emerging technologies in higher educational institutions in Ghana.”

Degree and certificates were awarded in logistics, finance, oil and gas management, supply chain management, engineering and Information systems.

Addressing the graduands, Dr. Osei Darkwa, President of the GTUC noted that the university would be celebrating its 10th anniversary in September with a reflection on measures to enhance the capacity of the youth.

He urged the graduands to pursue their dreams in spite of the challenges that they may face.

“You are agents for change and you have the greatest opportunity in generations to be the architects and builders of a new world,” he said.

He gave the assurance that the university would continue to offer effective learning opportunities to individuals to upgrade themselves to provide quality technology knowledge and skills.

According to him, an intense restructuring has been undertaken during the year, to enable the College to respond to emerging challenges and achieve its goals.

He urged the graduands to take advantage of the opportunities ahead of them to make a difference in society..

“In line with the objective to complement government’s efforts, GTUC has established network campuses in five out of the 10 regions in the country, which is 50 per cent coverage,” he said.
