Five hundred and fifty-five fresh students of the Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) have been admitted into the school, at the 20th Matriculation ceremony held in Accra, at the weekend.
Speaking at the event Professor Osei Darkwa, President of GTUC said the students would pursue various diploma and degree courses.
He said the students would also be trained to be committed citizens to help drive nation’s development to the next level.
He said the country needed leaders with vision and ready to lead this country and the West African Sub-region into to the future.
Professor Darkwa said, the university would continue to support the national development agenda, and bring education to the door-steps of Ghanaians.
Prof, Darkwa said, the university had forged new partnerships and collaborations with foreign universities and industrial giants to assist the students to attain best academic qualifications.
He said the educational institution would assist students to harness their talents to become competitive in the global labour market.
Prof. Darkwa advised the students to take their studies seriously to enable them to achieve their aim of enrolling into the University.
