The Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) will hold an award ceremony for participants of its maiden Taekwondo video contest in Ghana dubbed “I Love Taekwondo” tomorrow at the Accra Sports Stadium sports hall.
Sponsored by Kia Rana Motors, the video contest is opened to all registered Taekwondo clubs in the country from August to October this year. Participating clubs were to compose a three-minute video recording depicting Taekwondo in their own theme.
Charles Amofa, GTF Secretary General said the clubs have presented their video recording to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, organizers of the contest in conjunction with the GTF.
Clubs, he said, also had the option to upload the videos to YouTube with the prefix: “I love Taekwondo” for additional marks.
In all, he said that the contest attracted works from 31 taekwondo clubs with 20 making the mark for the awards.
The best among these 20 clubs will be presented with taekwondo uniforms as well as medals and other attractive prizes.
The first position will receive plastic mats (12×12 ring), protective sets and training manual; the second will receive protective sets, mitts and training manual; the third will receive protective sets and training manual.
