The Ministry of Tourism and the Creative Arts on Friday, handed over 19 Toyota pick-up vehicles worth GH¢ 2.3 million to the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) to enable it to track and monitor the operations of institutions under it.

The vehicles, acquired with funds from the Tourism Development Fund, would help the Authority to track   institutions which operate without licences.

The Minister of Tourism and the Creative Arts, Mrs Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare handed over the vehicles and urged that they should be used for their intended purposes. She charged the Authority to service them continually.

Mr. Charles Osei Bonsu, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the GTA, received the vehicles, thanked the Ministry and assured the Minister they would be used for the collection of levies, to increase the internally generated funds of the Ministry.
