The event was organised by the EFG under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Industry on the theme, “Industrialisation, the key to accelerated economic development and job creation,” for Ghanaian consumers to patronise made-in-Ghana products.

The president and founder of EFG, Mr Ato Sam, who made the presentation, said the awards was introduced to honour and celebrate Ghanaian-owned industries that had exhibited excellence in quality and standards.

He said it would create awareness and boost the profile and reputation of businesses to increase productivity and enhance service delivery on the local and international markets.

The Director in-charge of Human Resource and Training of the GNFS, Assistant Chief Fire Officer (ACFO) Julius Kunnuor, receiving the award, thanked the organisers of the event, stating that it would encourage the service to discharge its duties to the public.

He said the GNFS had rolled out fire prevention measures to ensure public safety, which included the formation of community fire prevention unit to educate people on basic fire prevention measures.
