Glico Group Prays For Success

Glico Group of Companies, a leading insurance and financial services group, has marked the half year with a prayer and thanksgiving service at its head office in Accra to seek the providence of God for the continuous success of the company.

The event was organised in recognition and appreciation of the mercies and grace of God for seeing the company through a successful half year, in spite of the numerous challenges facing the Ghanaian economy and private businesses.

A statement issued by the Group said the service was also meant to say “thank you” to staff for their hard work, commitment, resilience and enthusiasm to work assiduously towards the success of Glico.

The prayer and thanksgiving service night, a significant feature in the calendar of the company, was characterised by praises, dance, and worship.

The Executive Chairman of Glico Group, Mr. K. Achampong-Kyei, in his remarks noted: “It is an opportune time to meet together as a family and pray with a common goal and purpose for Glico Group, ourselves and Ghana.”

He added: “Despite the gains we have made over the years, we will still continue to forge ahead; set high standards of performance and maintain our leadership position in the insurance and financial service industry, while fulfilling our social responsibilities as a corporate citizen of the community in which we operate”.

Delivering words of exhortation on the theme, “United we stand; divided we fall”, the General Manager, Finance & Administration for Glico Life, Mr. Victor Owusu Boakye, urged staff to work as a team for the success of the Group, quoting from Ecclesiastics 4:9-13, which statesA person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back to back and conquer, three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.”
