Nominees for the 6th Ghana Information Technology and Telecom Awards (GITTA), has been announced after a rigorous process to ensure an inclusive representation of players in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector.
The awards symbolises one of the most respected accolades in the ICT industry aimed to celebrate excellence in innovation, product development and service delivery, Mr Derrick N.A Tagoe, Event Coordinator of InstinctWave Ghana, said in a statement in Accra.
The statement quoted, Akin Naphtal, Chief Executive Officer of InstinctWave as saying: “The quality of nominees is impressive and reflects the change from Ghana Telecom Awards (GTA) to GITTA, the various nominees for the categories cover every area of the industry.”
“The 6th GITTA is special, as it will see more participation from ICT companies and honour teams for their achievements and excellence in the area of service delivery, data and the impact of ICTs on the economy of Ghana,” he added.
The nominations were unveiled after the Board of Trustees of the awards reviewed all entries and conducted research into submissions by companies, the statement said.
It said that more nominees would be announced in the next few days to include categories for banks and special recognition awards for individuals and organisations.
The 6th GITTA is powered by InstinctWave, the same company behind the Ghana Construction Awards, CFO Awards (Ghana and Nigeria) and Africa Brand Conference — UK.
The GITTA night is Ghana’s first platform for recognising excellence in the ICT industry.
