Sweden-based Ghanaian midfielder, Innocent Teiko Amechitovi believes he is one of the most talented attacking midfielders from Ghana and could make a huge mark if granted an opportunity with the Black Stars.
In an interview with the Times Sports, the 26-year-old said, his outstanding strength on the ball and combative nature could help bring some compatibility into the national team.
The left footed IK Virgo player added that “I can surge forward to help strikers and can hold onto the ball and give accurate passes.”
The former Vasta Frolunda team B captain stressed he is one of the best players in the Swedish league and the heartbeat of his team and looking forward to greater challenge outside Sweden.
Having won several Man of the Match awards last season, Amechitovi said he would continue playing good football and further improve to become one of the best in Africa and subsequently the world.
“I also look forward to an opportunity with the national team to prove my worth and I am certain to make a positive mark when granted the opportunity,”he stated.
He urged Ghanaians to continue supporting the national team while urging colleague players to take pride in playing for the Black Stars and give their all when given the opportunity.
