The Confederation of African Handball (CAHB) will hold a week-long coaching training seminar in Ghana.
The programme, billed for the regional capital of Upper East, Bolgatanga will be held from October 1-6 and is opened to handball coaches and Physical Education (PE) teachers across the length and breadth of the country.
Secretary General of the Handball Association of Ghana (HAG), Charles Amofa told the Times Sports yesterday that that participant would be tutored by two International Handball Federation (IHF) certified instructors from France and Cameroon.
After the sixth day, participants would be awarded CAHB certificates.
Mr. Amofa has therefore urged interested PE masters across the country to contact the HAG Secretariat at the Accra Sports Stadium for more details about the programme which is aimed at taking the sport to the grassroot.
“In stretching handball to every corner of the country, the current management has targeted the training of coaches who would be expected to teach it at their respective schools to churn out good players from the schools.”
