The Coconut Grove Golf course, Elmina, is set for the 27th seniors golf open this weekend (Saturday and Sunday), organisers of the tourney have said. Tee off is at exactly 7:30am.

The 36-hole event has been grouped into three age categories – 55-years and above (main event), 50-54 years, 41-49 as well as 65 years.

Seventy seasoned golfers have confirmed their participation in the high-profile competition which has very attractive trophies at stake for those who will excel.

Among the dignitaries that will battle for honours include Okyenhene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, Sir Sam Jonah, former CHRAJ boss Emile Short, Vice Admiral Quarshie, Frank Tackie and Mike Aggrey.

The female category is expected to be represented by Esther Amedzro, Florence Etwi-Barimah, Margaret Owusu Baah, Sophia Honnah Sam, among others.
