The Ghana Football Association (GFA), will formally launch the 2015/2016 Premier League on Wednesday, February 17 at the Conference Room of the GFA Secretariat, Accra at 11am.
The event is expected to attract representatives of all the Premier League clubs for the delayed 2015/16 championship and the top hierachy of the GFA.
It will also clear the way for an anticipated smooth take-off of the competition whose start has been protracted by unresolved issues by the adhoc committees of the Football Association.
What is still not clear as of now is which club would replace Techiman City, one of the new entrants but was handed a sanction by the Ethics Committee for their role in a bribbery scandal.
Techiman City and Wa African United were demoted to the second tier of Ghana after the committee listened to arguments from the their representatives.
But the threat from the Techiman side to get to the bottom of the matter is what is keeping stakeholders in suspense as to whether the FA would pick a replacement or go ahead with a 15-club league.
The Ghana Premier League is scheduled to kick off on February 20, 2016.
