Ghana gets AAG boost

BtngFRENCH-based Ghanaian Athlete; Mathilde Boateng gave Ghana’s All African Games chances a massive boost after making 12.88 jumps in an indoor game in France.

The French born jumper who holds Ghana’s triple jump indoor record is likely to be named by the Ghana Athletics Association as one of the best triple jumper to take Africa by storm in the upcoming All African Games.

The 11the edition of the All African Games will see Ghana parading her best athletes to compete among top ranked athletes on the African continent.

Though the number of Athletes to the games is uncertain, Boateng impressive jump of 12.88 which is her personal best all year long will be too good to ignore by the handlers of the Athletics Association.

In a related development, there were notable performances from Ghana-based Richard Seklorwu (long jump), Osei Kofi (100m & 200m), Sakat Lariba (1500m) and Elizabeth Azuure (3000m).

This week, the foreign-based athletes opened their outdoor campaigns and we also saw notable performances from John Ampomah (javelin), Ama Larbi (400m hurdles), Gemma Acheampong & Suzie Acolatse (100m), Agnes Abu

(800m), Lydia Ataa Afia Mato (5000m), Sampson Azumah Laari (800m & 1500m), and Solomon Afful (100m & 200m).

There was also a useful PB from Stephanie Aidoo in the 200m and a 23.85s outdoor 200m opener from Janet Amponsah.
