A two-day FIFA seminar on football pitch maintenance for groundsmen of the various football pitches across the country will end today at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.
The seminar, organised by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) started yesterday and is aimed at training groundsmen on how to maintain the natural grass pitches to ensure longevity for clubs and for the nation.
FIFA pitch consultant, Matthew Dean Gilasbey who arrived in Accra on Wednesday evening is taking the various groundsmen through the latest technology on football pitch maintenance.
The two-day seminar will also raise awareness on the importance of good maintenance of football pitches and to maintain their quality.
FA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi opened the seminar yesterday with a call on participants to take the programme serious as they aim to ensure matches are played on good turfs.
