GFA To Bail Out Kotoko, Others

Kotoko1The Ghana FA has pledged to make a $20,000 financial contribution to aid Kumasi Asante Kotoko and each of its three representatives in the two CAF inter-club competitions this year.

The Ghana FA revealed this in one of several meetings with representatives of Asante Kotoko, Berekum Chelsea, Medeama SC and Ebusua Dwarfs on how to have a smooth and successful outing in Africa last week.

Kotoko and Chelsea will be competing in the CAF Champions League while Medeama and Dwarfs make their maiden participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Ghana FA made a similar gesture last year to New Edubiase United who were then preparing to face Congo’s Diables Noirs in the CAF Confederation Cup. This time, the football governing body has spread its tentacles to cover all clubs in Africa with a $20,000 cash support.
