BOARD members and management of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), have ended a three-day retreat to discuss a five-year strategic plan for the development of the corporation.
The plan is meant to help transform the corporation from its current situation to a better one.
The Deputy Director-General of GBC, Francisca Ashitey Odunton explained during the retreat that the strategic plan was to give GBC a focus over the next five years.
She said the plan would focus on human resource, operations, administrative process and the legal aspect of the corporation.
She revealed that the implementation of the five-year strategic plan would start from next year, 2016, and therefore called on the staff of the corporation to contribute to move the corporation forward.
For his part, the board chairman for GBC, Mr. Richard Kwame Asante also stressed the need for a strategic plan for the corporation, adding that without it GBC cannot achieve its goals and objectives.
He said the retreat was to afford board members, management and heads of department of the corporation to discuss the strategic plan and come out with suggestions to enhance the progress of the corporation.
