Ga West NCCE Organises Inter-Party Dialogue For 33

Ga PixThe Ga West National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has organised an Inter -Party Dialogue Committee (IPDC) forum for 33 stakeholders within the municipality.

The forum was attended by representatives, traditional leaders, women’s groups, church leaders, and faith-based organisations.

The Ga West Municipal Director of NCCE, Robert D. Anas-Okoe, addressing the forum, said it was to promote political tolerance, and stem hateful speeches after the verdict on the 2012 presidential elections petition.

He said peace should not be a one-off event, adding that, the NCCE, would continue to defend the constitution and promote national unity and harmony.

Mr Anas-Okoe urged the stakeholders to continue to support the commission’s efforts towards maintaining the peace.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Asiwome Agbemenyale, briefed the forum on the Public Order Act and warned that the Police would have no choice but hold people responsible for any infractions after the verdict.
