THE Ga South Municipal Assembly has taken delivery of four pick-up vehicles worth GH¢400,000, to enhance its revenue mobilisation operations.
The vehicles were purchased from the assembly’s internally generated funds.
Mr. Jerry Akwei Thompson, the Municipal Chief Executive, implored the administrative staff to take good care of the vehicles.
He said if the vehicles were properly handed, they would last longer and help meet the purpose for which they were bought.
He reiterated his commitment to provide the various departments of the assembly with the needed logistics to efficiently perform their duties.
The Coordinating Director, Mr Benard Armah, who received the keys of the vehicles on behalf of the assembly, assured the MCE of the staff’s preparedness to discharge their duties effectively.
He was hopeful the revenue base of the assembly would be increased since the staff would cover a wider range of businesses and residents to mobilise funds for the municipality’s growth.
