When Properties has presented food items to the Ghana female U-17 national team, the Black Maidens to aid their preparations for the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Jordan.
The presentation which was done at the team’s camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram was also to motivate the team as they prepare for the tournament. According to the Marketing Manager of the company, Megg Akoto, the gesture was their way of assisting the girls in their preparation for the tournament.
“Women footballers are doing very well and making the nation proud and needed to be supported in order to succeed in the upcoming competition,” she stated.
The items included 20 bags of rice and 10 boxes of cooking oil.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Otor Plaha expressed appreciation to the company for coming to the aid of the Maidens. He added that the ministry is working feverishly to ensure a good preparation for the team which aims at conquering the world at their level.
Skipper of the team, Florence Anor Fosua also promised that the team would not disappoint when they get to Jordan and called for more support from corporate entities. Ghana qualified to its fifth straight U-17 World Cup tournament after back-to-back wins over Morocco in the African qualifying campaign.
