CIMG Award PixFirst Capital Plus (FCP), a leading savings and loan company in Ghana was on Friday adjudged the Non-Bank Financial Institution of the Year 2012 at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIMG) at the 24th Marketing Performance Award held at the Banquet Hall in Accra.

The award is in recognition of FCP’s orientation to marketing and technological innovation, investment in corporate social responsibility and strong financial performance.

The citation accompanying the award read, “You were established barely four years ago and you have already become a household name in the financial service market. You set out a mission to be a committed and customer-driven institution which provides effective, supportive and timely banking solutions to your customers, by which your stakeholders have evaluated you thus far.”

The Chief Executive Officer of FCP, John Kofi Mensah, commenting on the award thanked customers for their loyalty and attributed the bank’s phenomenal growth to the company’s quality and motivated human resources, technological innovations, professionalism and the core value of God –centeredness.

The FCP is noted for innovation and it is the first financial institution to introduce a deposit solution dubbed speed banking which makes it possible for customers to deposit cash into their bank accounts anytime, anyday, and anywhere through their mobile phones without visiting the banking hall.

In July 2012, the bank received a provisional universal banking license after barely three years of operation as a savings and loans company.

The bank has 13 operational branches and is poised to expand its branch network to 20 by 2014 as it prepares for strategic elevation in the financial service industry.
