First Atlantic Opens Airport Branch

First Atlantic Bank has launched a new ultra modern branch at the Airport Residential area in Accra as part of its expansion drive.

The opening of the branch is the third after Spintex Road and American House branches.

Addressing the guests at the launch, Mrs. Karen Akiwumi Tanoh, Chairperson of First Atlantic, said the bank had re-invented itself in keeping with the increasing demands of its esteemed customers.

According to Mrs. Tanoh the launch formed part of efforts by the board and management of the bank to bring closer to customers, a bank that was tuned to the discipline of global best practices and the passion for delivering a refreshingly different banking experience for every one that honours it with their business.

“Our branch roll-outs are testimony of our strong belief in the resilience of the Ghanaian economy and its long term prospects,” she said.

Mr. Gabriel Edgal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank said the Airport branch was a full service facility that offers everything across most banking categories, including corporate, commercial, retail, institutional and electronic banking.

He said the bank would help support the productive sector, especially businesses that generate foreign exchange to reduce the impact on trade deficits, adding, “Already, we are forming strategic alliances with partners within the region and internationally to support trade.”

“First Atlantic Bank shall act as a conduit for the inflow of investments, remittances and the required capital into the country and we are going out there to look for businesses and countries that have surplus, and we will channel it into Ghana, as our contribution to the much needed capital for development,” Mr. Edgal said.

He added: “The bank will be dynamic and responsive, to the needs of all our customers and this we will do by providing what we have come to refer to as the Purple Experience which is a distinctly different service, delivered to you by a team that is extremely passionate with the desire to create value.”

The Executive Director of First Atlantic Bank, Mr. Daniel W. Addo, announced that the bank was in an aggressive expansion mode and would open a new branch every month till the end of the year, and encouraged those who were not yet customers of the bank, to do so.
