First Atlantic Bank has launched its 20th anniversary with a promise to continue offering the best products and services to customers.
Speaking at the event, the Board Chairperson of the bank, Mrs. Karen Akiwumi-Tanor said the bank had chalked a lot of success for the past 20 years because of its commitment to customers.
She recalled the genesis of the bank from 1995 till date and applauded the banks customers who she noted had kept faith with the bank throughout the banks journey and were the reason for the celebrations.
“Today at First Atlantic Bank, there is a buzz in the air, brought on by the leadership and the many bright young people who have joined the bank. We call it ‘the Purple Xperience’ which in essence is the bank’s refreshingly different approach to customer engagement with a view to provide our rapidly increasing customers with nothing but the best and to solve their problems. We are not a big bank. We are not a small bank. We are a customer focused bank,” she stated.
Mrs. Akiwumi-Tanor challenged the bank to do more for young people who she mentioned may not have the resources today but would certainly have tomorrow.
“We must take a long term view of our efforts to transform banking and make it better in Ghana,” she said.
Mr. Gabriel Edgal, MD/CEO of the Bank commended the bank’s customers for their belief and support for the bank throughout its 20 years of existence while extolling the bank’s Board of Directors for their immeasurable contribution in steering the bank.
“We have every cause to celebrate because within the period of 20 years we have seen many transitions, withstood many challenging situations but through all this we have come out stronger and we are getting even better by the day. We could not have done this without you our much cherished stakeholders,” Mr. Edgal said.
As part of the celebrations, the bank will host a number of customer engagement activities to show appreciation to its loyal customers and embark upon a series of corporate social responsibility activities so as to give back to the communities in which it operates.
Messrs John Amakye and Oye Balogun both shareholders of the bank unveiled the anniversary logo of togetherness.
