Finatrade settles medical bills of little Agyapong

The Finatrade Foundation, corporate social responsibility arm of the Finatrade Group a consortium in Food and Beverages has paid the entire medical bill of GH¢5,000 for the treatment of little Bright Agyapong.

This followed an appeal made through The Ghanaian Times by Agyapong’s father in Tuesday, April 7, 2015 edition of the paper for support to help treat the two-year old boy who is suffering from an acute eye problem.

Presenting the cheque for GH¢5,000 bill to the boy’s father, Joseph Agyapong, the Executive Director of the Foundation, John Awuni, said they decided to foot the entire bill to ensure that the little boy recover fully from his ailment.

He said under the circumstances, the Foundation realized that a timely medical intervention, was needed to reverse the situation immediately in order to save the sight of Bright Agyapong.

Mr. Awuni said since the Foundation was established some years ago, it had always been supportive to such vulnerable groups in the society.

He said the Foundation had special interest in supporting such needy people because, a life saved could possibly become a corner stone for the nation in the near future.

Mr. Awuni said it was the wish of the Foundation that little Agyapong, recovers fully to contribute his quota to mother Ghana in the near future.

He said the Foundation would continue to monitor the progress of recovery to determine the next time of action if the need arises.

Mr. Joseph Agyapong, the father who received the cheque, thanked the Foundation for the kind gesture and timely intervention to save the sight of his son.
