Mr. Kwasi Attuah, Sales and Marketing Manager of Fan Milk Limited, has appealed to Ghanaians to participate in activities and programmes aimed at promoting environmental cleanliness.
He said there was the need for individuals and organisations to complement the efforts of the metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies in ensuring sound sanitary and environmental practices.
Mr Attuah urged the youth to undertake activities and educate the public on the essence of hygienic practices that are essential for the people and development of the country.
He was speaking to about 1,200 school children from educational institutions in Circuit 27 of the Accra Metropolitan Education Directorate, on environmental cleanliness and hygiene, in Accra.
Mr Attuah, on behalf of the company, presented 60 litter bins to the schools.
He said the company would continue to promote environmental cleanliness and good health, which, according to him, formed the foundation for national development.
Mr Attuah said Fan Milk, in collaboration with the Ghana National Scholarship Benefic- iaries Association (GNASBA) has helped educational institutions to pursue the school’s health and afor- restation progra-mmes.
He advised the students to study hard and take technical and vocational education seriously.
Baffour Akwasi Oppong, the National Chairman for GNASBA commended Fan Milk for supporting the government’s national sanitation programme.
Madam Fraces Mabel William, Deputy Director in-charge of Basic Education, at the Accra Metro Education Directorate, asked Fan Milk to intensify its sanitation programme throughout the district.
