*Suspended Class 1 referee, Franklin Cobbina, has disclosed that there is a conspiracy among top officials at the Ghana FA to end his refereeing career.

Reports in the local media indicated that Referee Cobbina was banned for a year for failing to appear before the Match Review Committee of the Ghana Football Association after officiating the middle league game between Guan United and Bechem United at the Essipong Sports Stadium in 2013.

The Class 1 referee, who after serving the one year ban, is yet to be recalled has revealed to sportscrusader.com that he believes that there is a conspiracy by some top officials to end his refereeing career after refusing to compromise the game in favour of one team.

“I know for sure that some top officials want to end my refereeing career because I refused to compromise the game in their favour. I was called before the game to tilt the game in favour of one team and I was banned after doing my professional job”, Franklin said.

“They want to get me out of their way because they feel I am a threat. I will expose them soon”, he added.
