FA Cup: Liberty advance, All Stars stunned

Liberty Professionals advanced to the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup after defeating lower division side Elmina Sharks 3-0 on Saturday.

The Dansoman-based club made it to the last four of the competition for the first time in more than a decade.

Two goals from wonder kid Latif Blessing and a strike by Felix Addo were enough to help the home team advance to the next round of the competition.

Liberty will now face the winner of the WAFA and Okwawu United clash in the semi -finals.

Benson Akosah’s lone strike ensured Wa Rockets made a historic semi-final berth in the MTN FA Cup after beating Wa All Stars 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The division one side will be making their first appearance at semifinals of the MTN FA Cup competition.

Wa All Stars were hoping to maintain their impressive run this season with a qualification to the semi-finals of the FA Cup competition.

Coach Enos Adepa’s side will now shift focus to the Premier League title.

Wa Rockets will face the winner of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Bechem United match in the last four of the FA Cup.
